Course Objectives
From day one, the student will receive practical theory, useful skills, and applicable instruction. We will use the Theory of Barbering to support the essential knowledge of the industry through the use of the classroom, videos, library, and textbooks. The student will learn to apply what was taught and incorporate these ideas into their services on real customers. This teaching environment mimics that of a real barbershop, helping students practice barbering with confidence. Students will be taught using proper and modern techniques in hair-cutting, shaves, scalp massage, facials, perms, hair coloring, shop management and much more.

- covers the necessary skills to Complete the Iowa State Barber Exam
